Santiago Quintero. The Traveling Portrait Artist

City: Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires

Bio: I was one of the first people to have internet in my small town in northern Argentina. When I reached the peak of my professional career, I decided to move to Buenos Aires in search of new stimuli and to broaden my horizons. Although I have traveled a lot, I always come back to this city that I love so much.

Most used techniques: I started by drawing by hand and then move on to the precision of digital work.

How would you define your work, any obsession: I love portraying the people I love, but my biggest fantasy would be to catalog all of internet culture.

Any main source of inspiration: An artist named Hugo Horita left a mark on me during my time as an advertiser. From that moment on, I knew that I wanted to draw at least as well as him.

What projects are you working on? Something you want to tell us: Did i mention that i am @aqui_te_esperro. Monetizing that account is my biggest goal.

What do you expect from POPnK: I want to expand my network of contacts and interests, and hopefully meet everyone in person!

What do you think is the future of POP art to come?: In my particular case, AI is hitting close to home, but I believe that pop art will survive and globalize better than ever.

Amen, brother!
